Infra Harmoni Sdn Bhd is a biotechnology company based in Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang. Our main business is biotechnology products which include plant biotechnology, tissue culture and coconut oil. In agriculture, biotechnology can help in yielding the crops, reducing vulnerability of crops to environmental stresses and dependence on fertilizers, pesticides and other agrochemicals.

Plant biotechnology is a great innovation to traditional crossbreeding. It  is far more precise and selective in producing desired agronomic traits.  

Plant tissue culture is the most effective part of modern biotechnology especially for the mass breeding of desirable plant and the recovery of plants from specific diseases.These includes the refinements of nutrient media, sterilization procedures, nature of culture vessels and so on. 

Normally, coconut oil is generally extracted from coconut by using the method of kopra-expeller. It includes the part where the copra is smoke-dried which will lead to the presence of aflatoxin, a kind of toxic. Biotechnological methods make easier for the substance to be removed by using microorganisms that degrade aflatoxin.

The used of biotechnology is very helpful for crop yield which is also known as agricultural output. This can be seen through more sustainable agricultural production.  Thus, it can reduce the environmental impacts of agriculture as well as increase production on the same amount of acreage. Besides, it leads to improved food quality and increased the incomes of farmers.

Drought and excessively salty soil can affect the drop productivity. However, there are  genes in the crops that will enable them to withstand biotic and abiotic stresses. By using biotechnology, the genes that enable the plants to cope with those extreme conditions will be transferred to the more desirable crops.
